World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and item upgrade Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the item to which it is applied (for instancethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor Item Upgrade of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure what can be improved upon an update.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break if it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as you can to level 15.

In the final game, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your equipment is to use Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a statistic by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Utilizing the Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, however, you may also want to be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrade, find more information, system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade items will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player improves a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This can be a disadvantage in that it could make the item more expensive if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with a level 1 base and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can use up lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by 10 points. This item is extremely valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to boost the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert back to its original state, requiring the player to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item upgrades will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as the chance to crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade items slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost that are listed above.
