The Combo i5 also has a very long run time and excellent path planning for such a small device.

If you want a more modern model, you can look at the Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Self-Empty Robot Vacuum & Mop. It comes with a large dock that can last for weeks without having to be cleaned. It also has amazing capability to auto-empty carpets and bare floors. It also comes with a smart mapping system and can be programmed to run only during specific hours (a useful feature to stop the sly children and animals from running amok). The Shark has less suction power than other robot vacuums and mops, but its still very good at picking up hair and pet hair. It is the best value among our top choices.

Best for Hard Floors

Robot vacuums are the best option for hardwood floors since they are able to easily maneuver around obstacles and not damage bare surfaces. They are fantastic in removing dust and crumbs, but struggle with pet hair and larger debris. They also lack the suction power of a high-end upright or canister vacuum, so they're not the best choice for carpeted areas or upholstery that requires deep cleaning.

The best two-in-1 robots combine mopping and vacuum, taking care of an entire task in one pass. Find a model that has an onboard sensor that can detect any changes in the flooring and adjust suction in line with the changes. If you have a lot of hardwood flooring in your home, you may want to consider a robot mop and vacuum combination like the Eufy S1 Pro. This model is an efficient robot vacuum with smart navigation to clean hardwood and other hard surfaces, and it can mop too. The sensors help it avoid staircases and other hazards, so you don't need to worry about the bot plummeting down the stairs and damaging your hardwood.

When it comes to mops the eufy S1 Pro is designed to actually wash hardwood floors with downward pressure, rather than wipe them clean to remove light dust and dirt. Its reusable pads reduce waste and help to spread less germs. They can also be cleaned at docking stations to reduce time. The mop pads can also be dried, washed, and reused.

Both the robovac and mop are both controlled by your smartphone, making it easier to manage the device. For instance you can use the app to set up an area that the vacuum won't enter, label separate rooms, or schedule cleaning times for certain areas.
