If you're on a tight budget and don't need a stroller that doubles as car seat carriers, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop friendly.

It's simple to push, and it feels solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate stroller that is lightweight, suitable for urban dwellers as well jet-setters. This is thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold that fits into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. This latest version features independent suspension on all four wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to 'perfectly traverse all types and terrains'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 frame and 6+ months colour pack combine to create a stylish pushchair with a subtle, elegant aesthetic. The frame's base weight is less than a kilogram, and is so light that it is able to be lifted from the box using just one hand.

It's also easy to add or remove attachments or adaptors such as the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks - as well as being machine washable to remove stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be converted into a stroller at 6 months with the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents who are looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It transforms from a stroller to a wagon just by flipping the handle, which means parents can select which mode they prefer on their adventure. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that will hold all your needs while on the go.

The Xplore also has two canopies that move from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This might not be ideal for long drives or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, but it does not flex as much as other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models and does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver, though, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking an affordable second stroller for their travels. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded that means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a car trunk or closet. It also has a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our test of the push and turn, it did better than the majority of other strollers that we test, but it's not the most maneuverable on uneven terrain or through narrow doorways. Its sunshades were among the smallest strollers we tested. They only cover the top and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and no components required tools. It is missing some features that we consider essential in double strollers. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair that is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It is suitable from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be easily converted with a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base and a reversible carriage.

The seat can be reclined with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to take their child in and out. This compact pushchair can handle everyday bumps and doorways easily.

The front wheels can be locked into a forward position or allow them to rotate which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to swivel while walking along the stony path. It handled this reasonably well, even though it felt slightly rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is famous for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain pushchairs for jogging, but they also offer a great assortment of strollers with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is simple to use and folds small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's a bit heavier than the other strollers we tried, but the wheels are rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and sturdy. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains and even with two children with shopping bags and other items.

Both the carrycot and seat have hoods that can be removed to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are water-resistant and durable unlike other prams' hoods which get whipped back into toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket that's large enough to fit a changing bag as well as plenty of food items. It can also be connected with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for infants up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents all over the world. It's a stroller made of aluminum that will see you through your baby's initial days and beyond. It comes with a variety of distinctive features like the ability to flip the seat from parent to the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy, a flip out eyeshade as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are strong and filled with foam which minimizes punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. It was easy to push, and our tester was able manoeuvre the vehicle through the narrow streets.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also be rolled and raised for easier transportation down the stairs or in the car's boot. The travel system is available with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors that are included. The brakes come with a single pro stroller action and are color coded. They also work with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single stroller pushchair pushchair that is budget-friendly is surprisingly easy to maneuver and has excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It is also lightweight and sturdy. The seat can be reclined in various positions. It also comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat features two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't perfect - it's not as silent as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be set up to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It can be used with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can face one another or turn around and face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling disputes over who should sit with dad and mom. It comes with a big tray for gears, a bottle holder and snack trays. It also comes with an automatic frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great jogger for parents that like to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers that you can buy your child. It also has great safety features, like a 5-point safety harness and wrist safety strap. It also comes with a twist hand brake that's different than the lever type found on competing models.

The seat is padded and provides plenty of space to sit. However the seat's depth is less than that of other runners (it's just about 10 inches") The storage bin is encased with a zipper that keeps things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds that is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with infant car seats or bassinets as of yet, but you can use it from the beginning with the purchase of adapters for the majority of seats made by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and assemble in just 5-10 minutes with no tools. The user manual is easy to read and includes multiple languages.
